On October 11, 2018 at 8:28 p.m., Prince Albert Police Service was dispatched to a theft complaint at a store on the 800 Block of 15 Street East.

A security guard at the store had attempted to stop a male who left the store without paying for merchandise when the suspect male threatened harm with a knife and fled on a bicycle. He was located and arrested a short distance away by officers.

The 37-year-old male from Montreal Lake, Saskatchewan is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and stealing merchandise not exceeding $5,000.

The suspect will appear before Prince Albert Provincial Court today (Information #991068271).
