Firearm charges – 2018-33515

A male suspect is facing multiple firearm related charges after a vehicle stop conducted by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU).

On October 10, 2018 at 6:55 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted of a suspect vehicle in a parking lot on the 1400 Block of 10 Avenue East.

Located in the vehicle was a sawed off shotgun, and 15 rounds of ammunition for the shotgun.

A 29-year-old male from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is charged with 11 firearm related charges (Information #991068076).

The suspect made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court October 11, 2018.

The Saskatchewan Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) is a province wide integrated policing task force formed to investigate existing and emerging organized criminal groups.  Saskatchewan CFSEU has units located in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert with a common mandate to target criminal organizations operating within the participating agencies jurisdiction and surrounding areas and to disrupt and dismantle criminal organizations.
