The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 219 calls for service over the weekend and arrested 25 people. The top two calls for service were for disturbances (23) and intoxicated persons (19). Update – Motor Vehicle Accident – February 2, 2018

Update – Traffic on the Diefenbaker Bridge has resumed to normal and traffic is flowing freely.   The cause of the accident is still under investigation. At approximately 9:20 a.m.  this morning Prince Albert Police Service and emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Diefenbaker Bridge. Emergency crews remain on the bridge. Southbound traffic coming into the city is restricted and police ask motorists to be patient while they continue to clear the scene. It is unknown what caused the accident at this time. File # 2018-2856: Impaired Driver On January 30, 2018 at approximately 1:40 p.m. an impaired driver after driving erratically lost control and drove into a snow bank on 8th Avenue. An officer that had been following the vehicle driving erratically, approached the vehicle. Inside the vehicle was evidence of alcohol consumption and the driver had visible signs of intoxication.
