Media UPDATE – Homicide File 2021-28611

UPDATE – Following the completion of an autopsy, Prince Albert Police can confirm that 40-year-old Doris Broussie was the victim of a homicide.

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and Forensics Identification Section of the Prince Albert Police Service continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.

File 2021-28611

At approximately 3:20 a.m. on August 5, 2021, the Prince Albert Police Service and Parkland Ambulance responded to a business in the 3600 Block of 2nd Avenue West for a report of an assault.

A 40-year-old female was taken to the Victoria hospital with serious injuries. She was assessed and then later transported to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

On Saturday, August 7, the 40-year-old female was declared deceased by medical staff. Her death is being treated as suspicious and an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
