Media Release – Three People Facing Charges in Separate Drug Trafficking Investigations

File 2021-4422 – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

Two men are facing charges after members on routine patrol conducted a vehicle stop in the 4200 Block of 5th Avenue East at approximately 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The driver of the vehicle was found to be without a valid license and the vehicle was seized.

Upon further investigation, police located several individual baggies of cocaine totalling just over 30 grams. Police also seized a digital scale, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,200 in cash.

A 20-year-old man is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and breach of probation in relation to this file. [Information 991153036]

File 2021-4286 – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on outstanding warrants after police conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 Block of 6th Avenue East late Tuesday night. Upon further investigation, police located methamphetamine, cocaine and psilocybin, a functioning scale and drug paraphernalia.

The woman is facing three additional charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in relation to this investigation. [Information 991152941]
