On May 28, 2022, just after 5:30 a.m., officers with the Prince Albert Police Service responded to the 800 Block of 11^th Avenue East for a report that a man had been shot. On arrival, officers located a 32-year-old man in the 1000 Block of 8^th Street East suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was transported to Victoria Hospital by Parkland Ambulance, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police remain in the area of the 1000 Block of 8^th Street East as the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.

Police are asking residents to check their surveillance systems for any suspicious activity in the area between the hours of 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. this morning.
