Police were dispatched to a business in the 800 Block of 15^th Street East Tuesday morning for a report of a woman acting in a threatening manner.

The woman posed a risk to herself and the public and was armed with several needles.

Police attempted to disarm the woman through communication without success and eventually deployed pepper spray, and then a Conductive Energy Device (CED). Police continued to negotiate with the woman until she agreed to drop the needles.

The woman was then taken safely into custody. An edged weapon was also located at the scene.

Charges are pending against a 42-year-old woman in connection with this file.
