Media Release – August 5, 2021 Update

Prince Albert Police members responded to 788 calls for service between Friday, July 30 at 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday.

Damage to Vehicles

Police are investigating reports that several vehicles were damaged overnight Wednesday in various parts of the city. Anyone with information about any of these incidents is asked to contact the police service at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. The City of Prince Albert also offers free paint kits in the event your property is sprayed with graffiti.

File 2021-28297 – Break and Enter, Possess Stolen Property

Shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, a resident reported a stolen vehicle. At approximately 7:40 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of 10th Street Northwest for a report that the vehicle had been located. The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was located by PSD Kal inside the garage of a nearby residence and arrested.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. [991168363]

File 2021-28083 – Aggravated Assault

Prince Albert Police were dispatched to the 100 Block of 8th Street East just after 8 a.m. Sunday morning for a report involving a male who had been shot. A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 24-year-old woman in connection with this incident.

File 2021-27954 – Robbery

Police attended to the 1000 Block of 18th Street West just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning for a report of a robbery. A resident reported several men had left a nearby residence and threatened him before taking a silver chain. Police arrested and charged two men, age 22 and 24, with robbery in connection with this incident [Information 991168220] [991168219]. Police returned the chain to the owner.

File 2021-27946 - Mischief

Shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area around 5th Avenue and 22nd Street East. A female was reportedly attempting to get into mailboxes. Officers have charged a 27-year-old woman with one count of mischief in relation to this file. [Information 991168225].

File 2021-27913 – Theft under $5,000

Officers were dispatched to a residence along Elmwood Place early Saturday morning for a report of a disturbance. Just after midnight, a resident reported someone had gained entry to a neighbour’s vehicle.

A 24-year-old male is charged with theft under $5,000 in relation to this incident. [Information 991168191]
