Media Release – Arrest Made on Canada-Wide Warrant

Prince Albert Police can confirm that 33-year-old Corey Clarke has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for second degree murder. Clarke was arrested by Baker Lake RCMP in Nunavut on Thursday.

A Canada-wide warrant had been issued for Clarke’s arrest on July 12 on one count of second degree murder in connection with the death of 29-year-old Natasha Ross. He was remanded into custody following a bail hearing in Nunavut.

Information from the public was instrumental in locating Corey Clarke. The Prince Albert Police Service would like to thank the public for their help in reporting his whereabouts to RCMP.

The police service would also like to acknowledge the Nunavut RCMP for their assistance in arresting Corey Clarke. Arrangements are being made to transport Clarke back to Prince Albert.

The police service appreciates the assistance from media in locating Corey Clarke. In this case, significant media attention resulted in information being shared widely and ensured an arrest in relation to a very serious offence.
