On November 15, 2017 around 4:45 p.m. officers responded to a weapons call for a male carrying a large machete. They located the suspect in the Gateway Shopping Mall food court and arrested him without incident.

The male had a backpack which police searched and located a machete and two smaller knives.

The 27-year-old male from Prince Albert Saskatchewan is facing one charge of carrying a concealed weapon. He made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
