The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with three child pornography offences in relation to an investigation into the online accessing of child pornography through a popular social media app. On July 15th, 2021 members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Saskatoon that was identified as the location where the offences were occurring. The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has received an update on sentencing on an international file from Australia. Joshua Baird, age 26, of Swan Hill, Australia received a 5-year sentence for his online activities. The Saskatchewan ICE unit became involved in the file in 2019 when a concerned parent brought the information to the Regina Police Service.
