Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend, responding to 243 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. Officers made 54 arrests, 30 of the arrests were for people being intoxicated in a public place. The top three calls for service were for intoxicated persons, disturbances and evictions.

Patrol Officers responded to the 3000 Block of Sherman Driver for an impaired driving complaint just after 7:00 p.m., March 16, 2018. Officers located the vehicle suspected of impaired driving travelling on 28th Street East and conducted a vehicle stop. The 23-year-old driver from Melfort was arrested for impaired driving and exceeding .08. The accused was released from police custody and will make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on April 18, 2018.

On March 17, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., patrol officers pulled a vehicle over on River Street West and 3rd Avenue West for a Traffic Safety Act Investigation. The 23-year-old male driver was arrested for prohibited driving. A 20-year-old female passenger in the vehicle from Prince Albert was also arrested after admitting to being in possession of methamphetamine.
The female suspect has been charged with possession of methamphetamine (Info # 991044902). The accused was in possession of 8.2 Grams of methamphetamine. The accused will make her first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on April 3, 2018.
March 17, 2018 extra officers were on duty, focusing on impaired driving and alcohol related offences. Prince Albert Police Service, along with Mothers Against Drinking and Driving (MADD) set up check stops at two different locations in the city. As a result of the extra resources police issued 9 Traffic Safety Act tickets, 1 Alcohol and Gaming Regulation ticket, seized 4 vehicles and charged a 41-year-old female for impaired driving and exceeding .08 (Info # 991044891). The accused will make her first court appearance on April 3, 2018.
