From December 23 to December 27 the Prince Albert Police Service has responded to 230 calls for service and 38 arrests.  Top calls for service were disturbances (26) and evictions (23).

2018-41630-Weapons Charges

On December 24, 2018 at 2:41 a.m. Patrol was dispatched to the 500 Block of 11 Street East on report of two males on foot carrying a potential large knife.

The two males were stopped by officers and searched. A large hunting knife was located on one of the male suspects.

A 32-year-old male from Saskatoon is charged with being at large of his undertaking to not possess weapons and to keep the peace and be of good behavior. (Information 991076062). The suspect appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court this week.

2018-41630-Break-And-Enter

On December 24, 2018 at 4:32 a.m., Prince Albert Police Service received a call of an attempted break-and-enter in progress of a garage on the 2400 Block of 15 Avenue East.

The suspect had left prior to officer arrival, and was located a few blocks away inside another garage by officers and arrested.

A 21-year-old male from Prince Albert Saskatchewan is charged with break-and-enter of a garage and attempted break-and-enter of a garage (Information #991076065). The suspect appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court this week.

2018-41707 – Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle

On December 25, 2018 at 5:01 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service was dispatched to a Reported Impaired Driver (RID) complaint on the 200 Block of 15 Street West. A male driver was passed out in the driver’s seat with a child in the vehicle. The male was arrested by officers for impaired driving and the vehicle was towed. Mobile Crisis attended the call for the child. The suspect was taken back to the police station and failed the breathalyzer tests.

The suspect is facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding .08.

The 28-year-old male from Prince Albert will appear before Prince Albert Provincial Court on March 7, 2019.
