8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday (Closed weekends & stats)
No Appointment Required

Must be a current resident of Prince Albert. Applicants residing outside of Prince Albert must have their Criminal Records Check completed by the RCMP in the jurisdiction where they reside.

  1. Complete one of our Criminal Record Check application forms. Forms may be completed in our office or you can print one off online and complete it before attending our office. Our application form can be downloaded here:

  1. You will require two pieces of Identification.  One Government-issued photo ID which can be a Sask Driver License or SGI ID card and must have a current Prince Albert address.  Other ID can be a Sask Health Card, SIN card, birth Certificate, Treaty Card, Status Card, Passport.
  2. Fees:
    • Records Check with the Vulnerable Sector - $70
    • Records Check without the Vulnerable Sector - $35
    • Cash or Debit Only
  3. Volunteers will be required to submit a "volunteer letter" from the organization seeking your assistance. (see sample) If you do not have the required letter from the organization then the normal application processing fees will apply.
  4. Processing time for Criminal Record check is 7 to 10 business days.

    Option 1: Self-Declaration

    A person may self-declare their conviction history. If the self-declaration matches the RCMP National Repository Records, the Prince Albert Police Service will confirm the results of the criminal convictions as declared by the applicant. If the RCMP national Repository Records do not match the self-declaration, fingerprints must be submitted to obtain a certified copy of your criminal record.

    Option 2: Submitting Your Fingerprints

    Prince Albert Police Service times for Civil Fingerprint are done by appointment Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm (excluding statutory holidays). Appointments can be booked by calling 306-953-4223.
    RCMP will respond directly to the applicant with a certified copy of the criminal record.

    Prince Albert Police Service fingerprint services are done by appointment Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm (excluding statutory holidays).
    NOTE: waiting time could vary due to emergency services at the Front Office Service centre during these hours.
