File 2023-2190 Just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Prince Albert Police Service was called to a residence in the 800 Block of 2nd Street East for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, members with the Prince Albert Fire Department located a woman inside the residence. She was transported to hospital by Parkland Ambulance, where she was pronounced deceased. The deceased has been identified as a 31-year-old woman from Prince Albert. Her name is not being released at the request of her family. ...

On January 16th, 2023, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a member of the Prince Albert Police Service commenced an investigation in the 400 block of South Industrial Drive. During the interaction with police a confrontation occurred with a male during which a firearm was discharged. File 2023-946 Late Monday morning, police were called to a wooded area near the 1000 Block of 18th Street West for a report of a deceased male. Police and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service are investigating. Dwight Whitehead, age 32, has been identified as the deceased.
