UPDATE- File 2019-31898 – Weapons Call
A 20-year-old man is facing several charges in relation to an incident early Monday morning in which a man suffered a gunshot wound in the 1600 Block of Muir Drive, including possession of a dangerous weapon, careless use of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, break and enter, assault with a weapon and breach of court order. The Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend responding to 288 calls for service between Friday night and Monday morning. The majority of calls were for intoxicated persons, disturbances and evictions. Patrol officers made 49 arrests over the weekend. Thirty-three of the 49 arrests were for people being intoxicated in a public place.

Police are continuing to investigate after responding to a weapons call early Monday morning.
Just before 3:30 a.m., September 23, 2019 patrol officers responded to the 1600 Block of Muir Drive and located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Victoria Hospital by Parkland Ambulance with non- life threatening injuries. Upon further investigation, police located and arrested a suspect and recovered a firearm.
Police continue to investigate. No charges have been laid.
