Prince Albert Police responded to 293 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. The majority of calls involved intoxicated persons and disturbances.
File 2020-21958 – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
A 24-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants and is facing additional drug-related charges following a vehicle stop in the area of 13th Street and First Avenue West Saturday. Police stopped the vehicle just before 6 p.m.
Upon further investigation, police located more than $400 in cash, cell phones, methamphetamine and crack cocaine. [Information 991131204]
File 2020-21871 – Motor Vehicle Accident/ Fail to Remain at Scene
Police responded to the area of 20th Street and 6th Avenue West Friday night for a report of a vehicle accident.
Witnesses advised patrol members that a vehicle had struck another vehicle around 10:40 p.m. and several people had fled the area on foot. Police Service Dog (PSD) Kal was deployed and assisted patrol members in quickly locating a suspect.
A 40-year-old man is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. [Information 991131159]
