Two people will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Monday morning in connection with an incident last week.

Just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, police were called to a weapons complaint at an apartment in the 200 Block of 12th St. E. Residents reported they heard a knock at the door and let a man and woman into the suite, but called police after spotting a shotgun. No one was hurt in the incident and police continue to investigate (File 19-33202).

While responding to the first call, police were called to a possibly related incident (File 19-33203) involving a man and woman with a shotgun who had entered a residence in the 3000 Block of Third Ave. E. A male complainant reported he answered the door after hearing repeated knocking, and was assaulted and threatened inside the residence. The man reported the suspects then left in his vehicle.

While investigating the second incident, police were dispatched to 26th Street East for a complaint that a man with a sawed-off shotgun was attempting to get into a residence (File 19-33204). A loaded sawed-off shotgun was located in a vehicle in the unit block of 26th Street East. Police continue to investigate this incident.

The stolen vehicle from the earlier file was located minutes later in the 3200 Block of 6th Ave. E. and a 25-year-old woman was found hiding nearby. She is facing numerous charges in connection with File 19-33203, including robbery, break and enter and uttering threats. [Information 991107215]

Police arrested a 29-year-old man in relation to File 19-33203 on Friday, Oct. 4. He is facing firearms-related charges, along with charges of robbery, forcible confinement, break and enter and uttering threats. [Information 991107287]
