A recent vehicle stop by Prince Albert Police members on patrol led to the seizure of guns, drugs and money.
Officers on routine patrol initiated a stop on a vehicle in the 1100 Block of 15th Avenue West just before midnight on July 18, 2021. Upon further investigation, police located an axe, a large knife, two pistols and ammunition, various amounts of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and more than $2,000 in cash.
In total, items seized by police included:
- Just over 125 grams of methamphetamine
- Two air soft pistols and ammunition
- A cell phone and functioning scale
- An axe
- A large knife
- More than $2,000 in cash
- Bear Spray
- MDMA pills
- Drug packaging materials and drug paraphernalia
- A stolen license plate
Two men are facing charges in relation to this file. Shane Kyle Peekeekoot, age 37, from Ahtahkakoop is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous weapon (bear spray). Kyle Robert Greyeyes, age 42, from Edmonton is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, and breach of court-ordered release conditions. Both accused have made their first court appearances in relation to these charges. Peekeekoot is scheduled to return to court on August 9, while Greyeyes is next scheduled to appear August 19, 2021.
