Media UPDATE - Serious Assault Investigation File 2022-44840

UPDATE - The Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit has continued to investigate an incident stemming from an assault complaint, which occurred in the early morning hours of December 2, 2022. The investigation led police to a residence in the 500 Block of 5^th Avenue East, where investigators executed a search warrant.

On December 8, 2022, a 37-year-old man from Prince Albert was arrested for attempted murder, aggravated assault and breach of a court order [Information 991216550]. Quentin George Gardiner made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Friday morning.

Investigators do not anticipate further arrests.

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a report of a serious assault that occurred at a residence in the 500 Block of 5^th Avenue East early Friday morning.

Police remain on scene at the residence and the public can expect to see officers in the area for the remainder of the day and possibly into the weekend. Police are asking for the public’s help in collecting video and/or surveillance images from between approximately 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Friday morning.

No other details are available at this time. The Prince Albert Police Service is asking the public to avoid the area while officers investigate.
