Media Release – ICE Unit Investigation Leads to Charges Against Saskatoon Resident

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with breach of probation and violating his Prohibition Order. On July 22nd members of the ICE Unit completed a compliance check at a residence in Saskatoon on the male and found him to be in breach.

Electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.

A 21-year-old male from Saskatoon was arrested at the scene and has been charged with;

Breach of Probation – Sec. 733.1(1) C.C.

Prohibition Order violations X2 – Sec. 161(4) C.C.

He will be appearing in the Saskatoon Provincial Court Friday morning 9 AM

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of the Provincial Coordinator S/Sgt Shawn Stubbs and investigators from the Prince Albert Police Service, RCMP, Regina Police Service, and the Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
