Media Release – ICE Unit Investigation Leads to Arrest of Saskatoon Resident

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon man with possession of child pornography. On November 20, members of the ICE Unit became involved with the file when an employee located child pornography on an electronic device that the company held. A warrant search was completed on the device and evidence was located.

Aaron Baptiste, Age 40, of Saskatoon was arrested Monday and has been charged with;

Possession of Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (4) C.C.

He was released Tuesday and will be appearing in Provincial Court at a future date.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of the Provincial Coordinator S/Sgt Shawn Stubbs and investigators from Prince Albert Police Service, RCMP, Regina Police Service, and the Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
