Media Release - Police Investigate Reports of Suspicious Incidents Involving White Van

The Prince Albert Police Service is aware of concerning posts made over social media this week involving a white van.

Police have not received an official report concerning the incident described on social media.

In light of these posts, the police service initiated an investigation into possible suspicious activity, which included a check of a white van that was located parked in an alley in the community. Police found no evidence of suspicious activity involving this vehicle.

As part of the investigation, officers also followed up with other agency partners to determine the reliability of the information contained in the posts, with no results.

The Prince Albert Police Service is interested in hearing from members of the public should they have credible information involving this alleged incident, and would also like to remind residents that suspicious incidents or other illegal activity should be reported directly to the police service by calling 306-953-4222.

The police service’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages are not monitored 24/7 and should not be used to report crime or suspicious activity.
