Homicide / 2019-4795

On Wednesday February 20^th, 2019 at 6:39 PM police received a weapons call from a residence in the 1200 block of 17^th Street West. Police and paramedics attended to a residence within that block and located a 50-year-old male in critical condition. He was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. An arrest was made at the residence and the investigation continues.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday February 21^st, 2019. Members from the Prince Albert Police Service Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Section are actively investigating this incident. Both sections will be working with the Office of the Chief Coroner to investigate this incident fully. 

The death is being investigated as Prince Albert’s second murder of 2019.
