Further to Sunday’s release, Prince Albert Police responded to 269 calls from Friday at 7pm until Monday at 7am. 48 arrests were made, with 21 of those being for public intoxication. 12 people were taken to Court Monday morning.

On Saturday morning at approximately 7:15am, a patrol officer checked a parked vehicle with a male sleeping behind the wheel in the 400 block of 11th Street East. During a search of this subject subsequent to arrest, the officer located several dozen pills believed to be ‘ecstasy’ and a quantity of cash. 22-year old Anthony George LASAS of Saskatoon has been charged with Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act, and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime under the Criminal Code. He was remanded in custody and made an initial Court appearance Monday morning. He has since been remanded in custody pending his next Court appearance Thursday August 19th at 10:00am.

The Prince Albert Police Service was busy over the weekend and attended to 289 calls for service since 1800hrs on Friday.

 

Police made 49 arrests during this time frame with 32 being related to Intoxicated Persons and/or Breach of the Peace complaints.

On 2010-08-07 at approx. hrs Police attended to the Victoria Hospital for a complaint of person who had been stabbed. Police learned that an altercation had taken place at the Prince Albert Exhibition earlier in the evening. One male had been struck with a bottle causing a laceration to his head and another received approx. 4 stab wounds to his back. Both subjects received medical attention and were released. A 22 year old man is in custody facing charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon. He will appear in court on Monday morning. The matter is still being investigated and no further details are available.
