Further to S/Sgt.SCHLUFF’S release from yesterday . . .
PAPS responded to 294 calls over the long weekend.

On Sunday May 23rd at approx. 5:47pm patrol responded to the Galaxy Theatre regarding a complaint of an airborne irritant. The full to capacity theatre was evacuated and a 3-year old and 6-year old child were treated at scene by Parkland paramedics for breathing difficulties.

At approximately 3:30am May 17th Police were called to a 2nd Avenue hotel after a patron, who had gone to her vehicle to move it in the parking lot, observed two males attempting to break into the vehicle. They fled after she shouted at them. An 11-year old and a 13-year old boy were soon located and arrested by responding Patrol members....

The Prince Albert Police Service reports 10 incidents of Willful Damage that occurred overnight May 11th/2010. The windshields and/or other windows of parked vehicles were targeted. The Prince Albert Police Service had a busy weekend with approximately 273 calls for service & a total of 52 prisoners taken into police custody; 33 of these arrests were for being intoxicated in a public place.
The majority of the calls were damages to property, intoxicated people & disturbances.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle on 2Ave West One adult Male and One adult Female were Remanded on charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle and Breach of Conditional Sentence Orders. Vehicle was undamaged.
