UPDATE

 

Prince Albert City Police have people in custody in relation to yesterday’s disturbance in the 1200 block of 17th St W. The matter is still under investigation and no charges have been laid at this time. The victim is in stable conditions in Saskatoon.

Prince Albert Police were flagged down in the 2700 block of 2nd Ave W at approx 0220 hours April 23, 2010 by a 47-year-old Prince Albert Man who had been assaulted. He was taken to the Victoria Union Hospital by Parkland Ambulance where he was treated for his injuries and later released. A 14 yr old Prince Albert youth was arrested a short time later and has been charged with Aggravated Assault. He made his first court appearance this morning.

Prince Albert Police are still on scene in the 1200BLK 17th Street West investigating a report of a disturbance that resulted in a male being taken to hospital in Prince Albert. This subject has since been transported to hospital in Saskatoon. He is listed in stable condition.

On Thursday, April 22, 2010 at approximately 3pm, Police responded to a Disturbance in the area of the 1200BLK 17th Street West. A male subject was transported to hospital with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Police have been on scene since the incident, and SWAT is also on scene. Arrests have been made, and police are continuing their investigation.

Police attended to Hwy 2 N and the turn off to the dump for a single vehicle roll over on Friday evening at approx 2345 hours. A Chev ¾ ton was located lying on its side on the west side of the highway. The truck had been turning left from the highway when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle. The accident is still under investigation.

The Patrol Section of the Prince Albert Police Service responded to 266 calls for service over the weekend. 53 persons were taken into custody as a result, with 28 being arrested for public intoxication and 25 being charged criminally. Only 4 people were taken to the Brief Detoxification Centre at the Victoria Hospital, which was full at one point on the weekend. 15 persons were taken to Court this morning.
