The Aboriginal Mentoring Program (AMP) was created and implemented by the Prince Albert Police Service as an innovative and creative way to provide our community with more 'front line' aboriginal police officers, better reflecting the actual demographics of our community.

Policing is an ever changing environment, and in order to stay focused on our objectives we must have long term plans. The regional social issues and demographic trends suggest challenging times to come, but we know that with careful planning and community partnerships we will meet these challenges confidently and successfully....

The past year was positive in many areas for the Prince Albert Police Service.  With the assistance of the Provincial Government and under the direction of the Police Board we added more police officers to our streets....

The past year saw both gains and concerns in relation to our goal of reducing crime.  The crime rate is down overall; however there was a 2% increase in reported crimes against person....
